Description of the facility

The logistics hall is erected on a 10 hectare site approx. 5 km from the centre of Leipzig. The warehouse and office space is divided into three sections by two fire walls. The central section has 23 receiving doors at the front and another 23 at the back. The shell consists of a precast reinforced concrete structure with a with a 24 m x 12 m column grid (356 columns, 228 girders, 900 purlins). Up to a height of 2.50 m, the facade is made of reinforced concrete sandwich panels. Above that, it is realised as a thermally insulated cassette wall with vertically aligned trapezoidal sheet cladding. The office section features insulated walls. The roof structure consists of trapezoidal steel sheeting and is realised with thermal insulation and impermeable membrane. A low-pressure drainage system was selected for rainwater drainage. The entrance is architecturally emphasized by a free-standing stair tower and steel truss bridge (approx. 32 m) affording access to the office zones.
