Description of the facility

The handling hall is clear-spanned with 42-metre-long reinforced concrete girders. The building design is based on a modular concept developed by the occupant and shapes the space for the sorting system that will operate at the heart of the complex. Thanks to precise construction scheduling, the conveyor system can be integrated in the building at an early stage. The facade consists of a reinforced concrete sandwich base beneath a continuous row of windows and an insulated steel facade in characteristic Deutsche Post yellow.

Special features

OPTIMAL CONSTRUCTION PLANNING FOR SPEEDY IMPLEMENTATION – In line with the expansion plans of Deutsche Post, parcel subsidiary DHL is massively expanding its network of distribution centres. Here, BREMER AG was engaged by Dietz AG to construct a mechanised delivery site with 46 gates for HGVs and parcel delivery vehicles.
