Description of the facility

The logistics building with office space also included the realisation of the approx. 30,000 sqm outdoor facilities. The storage facilities are divided into three sections by two fire walls. The two outer sections each have 14 delivery airlocks, the central section has seven. The shell consists of a precast reinforced concrete structure. The column grid is 24 m x 24 m. Both the roof structure and the secondary columns are of steel. Centre to centre spacing here is 6 m x 6 m. The facades are comprised of thermally insulated cassette walls with vertically aligned trapezoidal sheet cladding and are set on a precast reinforced concrete base. The office building in front of the warehouse facilities is a reinforced concrete, steel and composite structure. A "free-floating" steel frame and brickwork office section is suspended on two bracketing supports backed by a bracing stairwell core. This architecturally distinctive administrative complex is connected with the logistics hall by a skywalk. All delivery traffic can thus be centrally routed under the office building. Visually, the office complex resembles a swap body – a container in daily use in the logistics industry.
